WHAT IS BALAGUER
SHOWDOWN?
On May 31 and June 1, 2025, a totally innovative sporting event will be held in Balaguer that will bring more than 600 participants to the city, creating an atmosphere of sport and leisure in the area of the Segre River where the population will be able to see many of the fittest athletes in the Spanish and international territory.
Whanau Training SL has created a cross-training competition called Balaguer Showdown. It seeks to represent the city of Balaguer with its logo and place it on the map for many people who do not know its location. The river area, the church of Santa María and the church of Santo Cristo de Balaguer, are represented in our brand.
WHAT CAN YOU SEE AT BALAGUER SHOWDOWN?
Throughout the weekend there will be sports and recreational activities, apart from the competition itself that will have various events that will be able to test the participating athletes in search of achieving the highest positions in the classification and, in the case of the ELITE and RX categories, get the economic prize.
We will have more than 100 volunteers involved, more than 600 participating athletes from all over Spain and Europe, more than 300 advertising posters distributed around the town of Balaguer and nearby towns, more than 30 publications on our scheduled social networks where the brands and companies collaborating with the event will be represented, and a long list of figures that will make this competition a great event to take into account within the city of Balaguer and, for sure, in the province of Lleida.
WHAT IS BALAGUER SHOWDOWN?
The event, which will take place on May 31 and June 1, 2025, will feature teams made up of two women and two men, aged between 16 and 65 years, from various backgrounds since it is an open competition around the world, who will face 5 or 6 tests, still to be decided.
In turn, this will also move a large number of spectators, not only from the city of Balaguer, but from other places, since the athletes themselves usually attend the competitions accompanied by family and friends and, in turn, all those people who practice our sport and other sports, will also attend the event to enjoy the planned show.
