WHEN AND WHERE WILL THE COMPETITION TAKE PLACE?
Balaguer Showdown is a crosstraining competition that will be held on May 31 and June 1, 2025 in the city of Balaguer, located in the province of Lleida.
An ideal location that will offer a stage with events next to the Segre River, where nature and sport will come together to receive athletes of various levels, sponsors and spectators in an atmosphere full of excitement and self-improvement.
WILL THERE BE AN ONLINE PRE-QUALIFICATION?
Yes, there will be an online qualification from January 20 to February 2, 2025. Registered teams must submit scores and videos of the Online Qualifier through the Wodbuster Arena platform by February 2 at 11:59 pm.
It is important to note that videos and scores submitted after the established deadline will not be accepted, which will prevent the team’s participation in the face-to-face final phase.
HOW CAN I REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE?
You will be able to register your team through the Wodbuster Arena app from November 18, 2024 to February 2, 2025. To take advantage of your Early Bird discount, you must register your team between November 18 and December 1, 2024.

WHAT ARE THE AVAILABLE CATEGORIES?
The available categories will be: Open Teams, Intermediate Teams, RX Teams, Elite Teams and Masters +140 Teams.

WHAT ARE THE KEY DATES OF THE COMPETITION?
November 18, 2024: Early Bird discounted registration opens.
December 1, 2024: Last day to register with Early Bird discount.
January 20, 2025: Start of the online qualifier.
February 2, 2025: End of the online qualifier and closing of registrations.
May 31 and June 1, 2025: Celebration of the face-to-face final phase.
HOW DO WE KNOW WHICH CATEGORY WE SHOULD REGISTER IN?
The category in which you must register your team will be determined during the online qualifier. All teams will carry out the tests, and based on the results obtained, the organization will assign each team the corresponding category.
This ensures that all participants compete at a level appropriate to their skills and experience.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE SUBSTITUTIONS OF MEMBERS IN THE TEAM?
Yes, it is possible to make member replacements on the team. Once registered for the Balaguer Showdown, each team can substitute for an athlete free of charge. If additional changes need to be made, a fee of €25 will apply for each substitution. Remember that only one athlete per team can be substituted for free.
The deadline for making these substitutions will be the start day of the final phase, before the end of check-in. All replacement requests must be emailed to info@balaguershowdown.com.
WHAT WODS WILL BE HELD?
The WODs of the final phase and the online qualifier will be announced during the days leading up to it through our Instagram channel @balaguershowdown.

ARE THERE PRIZES FOR THE WINNERS?
Yes, there will be prizes for the winners of each category at the Balaguer Showdown. Specific details about the prizes will be announced via our Instagram channel @balaguershowdown as the event date approaches. Even so, we give you some details:

1st – 1800€ + REGISTRATION 2026 + SPONSOR GIFTS
2n – 1400€ + REGISTRATION 2026 + SPONSOR GIFTS
3rd – 1000€ + REGISTRATION 2026 + SPONSOR GIFTS

CAN I ATTEND AS A SPECTATOR?
Yes, you will be able to attend as a spectator at Balaguer Showdown! The competition will be open to the public, and we invite you to enjoy an exciting weekend full of crosstraining.

We’ve got you covered! If you wish to participate in the Balaguer Showdown but cannot find a team, we recommend that you contact the organization. You can do this via our email info@balaguershowdown.com or via our Instagram @balaguershowdown.
We’ll be happy to help you find a team and connect with other athletes who are also looking for partners to participate.
